The Susanna features the most open floor plan of all the homes, by far. Very grand room sizes and open hallways allow for a family to live and grow in this home. I give the builder a lot of credit for going the extra mile to encorporate “hybrid” environmental efficiency and green features into this home. It has a solar water heater and a hybrid heating/cooling system.
This is the only home in this year’s tour that does not have a finished basement, but it definitely makes up for it in the main living areas! It’s informal, and feels easy to live in and enjoy a family. Walking inside, you are met with whimsical dining room walls and the open entry for this amazing space. Even the second floor bedrooms are large, with a wonderfully open second floor hallway. It makes this home feel so breathable and spacious.
The kitchen is bright and airy, with a great fireplace and TV area. I love the light maple cabinets and small tile backsplash. This home has some of the most unique appliances – like those with the oil-rubbed finish. They really blend nicely with the rest of the decor.
